No I.D.? No problem. Should be the tag-line for Jasmine's hookah bar. The place has a variety of different hookah flavors at "reasonable" prices, hit-or-miss music and a tolerable atmosphere, one should tread softly upon entering.
To be frank, the service leaves a lot to be desired, though it depends on who serves you at the time. For the most part they simply hover around the lounge aimlessly waiting to give people their checks.
What about prices and flavors?
Yes, this is where the quotes around the word reasonable come into play. Jasmine's is a lounge. So, why come alone to pay 15 to 20 dollars or more for hookah that will only last thirty minutes? No. Jasmine's is meant for social gatherings.
The flavors range from strawberry, apple, banana. You name it. They have a flavor for it, though the taste can sometimes get lost in the hookah.
Tunes are provided at the place for good ambiance, but it could use some consistency. The music that is bumping in the background is hit or miss. There are times where the music is foreign. Sometimes it's modern day music ranging from hip-hop, rap, or rock - courtesy of the owner's ipod. But the times when the place shines is when a D.J. is there that mixes songs on Fridays. In laymen terms, go when the DJ is there.
Overall Jasmine's is worth experiencing at least once, especially in a group setting. However, the lackluster environment, the random musical choices, and pricey hookahs hinders its credibility.
