The Eastfield basketball team's season came to an end after a second-round loss to Brookhaven in the Metropolitan Athletic Conference tournament at Northlake College on Feb. 29. "I was confident going into the game," Ryan Boyd said. "I knew it would be a hard game but I thought we would win.
On Friday the Harvesters won an exciting 9-8 game after a ninth inning comeback against North lake in the first of three games at home. Though they started out slow, the offense pulled through in clutch situations, and the defense picked up the slack in the fifth inning.
On Feb. 13, in front of a congressional panel, Roger Clemens added another layer of deception to a heaping pile of lies. Now Congress has asked the Department of Justice to look into whether or not he committed perjury during his testimony. While Clemens "mis-remembered" and lied through his teeth about his trainer's care, his wife's health and his nanny's knowledge, Congress ripped in to Brian McNamee, who's testimony is starting to sound like a scripture in comparison.
