Murder at Eastfield College

Jason Eberheart was found murdered yesterday as a result of a stabbing on the Eastfield Community College campus near the C building.

This incident was reported by Marcia Ramirez, a maintenance worker at Eastfield College, at 1:00 p.m. Ms. Ramirez stated that while leaving the N building she noticed a man fleeing the scene of a body lying on the grass stabbed in the neck. Marcia said, “I was in shock when I saw the scene. The sight was horrible. There was blood all over the poor victim.” She noticed a knife and gun at the scene of the crime.

The murderer is said to be a 6” tall white male with blonde hair. Ms. Ramirez said she noticed blood dripping on his right arm and on the side of his t-shirt as he ran up the stairway into the C building.

Jason was not found to be a student at Eastfield College, and his reason for being at Eastfield remains unknown.

Ronnie Harris, a student at Eastfield College, witnessed someone who matched the murderer’s description running across the field by the M building to the I-30 service road where he got into a small blue car. Mr. Harris said, “The man seemed frightened and looked quite suspicious.”

Eastfield Police called the Mesquite Police Department to investigate.

Mesquite Police said that there was evidence of struggle but no witnesses to confirm what happened.
