Murder at Eastfield College

Yesterday at Eastfield College, Jason Eberheart of Mesquite, Texas was found murdered near C Building, as the result of a stabbing to his neck. Eberheart was not a student at Eastfield. Witness, Marcia Ramirez, was leaving N building when she reported seeing someone fleeing the scene where she saw a white male lying on the ground.

Ms. Ramirez, a maintenance worker at Eastfield, said worriedly ?I was leaving work then the man ran though a nearby stairway. He had blood all over his right arm.? She reported that the man was white, with blonde hair and about 6? tall. She attempted to cover the victim with a white sheet.

Jason is 5?8? tall and weighs about 160lbs.

Witness Ronnie Harris, a student who was inside C Building, said he saw a man wearing blue jeans, a white t-shirt and red tennis shoes leaving C Building at the south entrance near the M Building entrance. He ran across the field to the I-30 service road where he got into a small blue car.

Lt. John Hill of the Eastfield Police Department was dispatched to the scene where he posted officers while attempts were made to find the assailant on campus. C building, where the murder had taken place, was closed for search but nothing was found. Eastfield Police contacted the Mesquite Police department to investigate. Police said there was evidence of a struggle but no witnesses to confirm what happened.
