Dulce is a 17 year-old young lady who is currently a member of Upward Bound at Eastfield College and will continue to attend Skyline. She is from Oak Cliff, TX, but her parents originated from Mexico. Her father is from Saltillo, Coahuila and her mother from Santa Clara, Durango. She has two siblings: a brother, Sergio, who is 16 years old and a sister, Karina, who is 12 years old. Along with her caring and loving family, she has a pet dog named Loco and two turtles named Las Chinas.

Whenever she needs to relax from all the stress from school or just because she feels like enjoying herself, she likes to listen to music, sing, dance, and play soccer at her house. She likes to listen to music, and if the meaning of the song appeals to her, she may just burst out singing as a way to express her feelings. She likes to keep herself active and re-energize and does so by playing soccer or dancing till she can't keep up with the beat anymore. Whatever she chooses to occupy her time in, she never forgets to have fun.

Her active personality will definitely come in handy after graduation because she plans to attend TWU (Texas Women University) and major in the medical field. She would like to attend the Denton campus because of the comfortable learning environment a small populated school will give her. She will be pursuing a bachelor?s degree that will allow her to accomplish her passion of helping others and one day leads to her Ph.D. She hopes that by the end of those eight years in school, she is a pediatrician or pediatric nurse.

Besides becoming a great professional, she also wants to become a wonderful wife and mother. She wants to stay in Dallas; hopefully, living in her dream house and making the money she deserves after all the hard work in med school. She will fulfill these dreams by trying her best and never letting anything put her down.

As you can infer by what I have mentioned about her, she is a hard working girl who not only wishes to make her life meaningful but is also willing to put forth the effort to make it happen. I have the pleasure to know her and the honor to call her my friend and there is no doubt in my mind that she will be able to accomplish whatever she sets her mind to. I also know that she will have tons of fun in the process and just "live life by the moment".
